UOB Heartbeat Run is an annual volunteerism and fundraising event, and an integral part of the UOB Corporate Social Responsibility programme. The programme reflects our long-term commitment to enriching lives, strengthening social connections, and supporting the sustainable development of the communities where we operate.
In Vietnam, our efforts have focused on supporting young people, especially underprivileged children. Since 2023, the UOB Heartbeat programme has aimed to set up five computer labs over five years for students across the Mekong Delta region, in partnership with Saigon Children’s Charity CIO.
To date, the initiative has provided more than 3,100 students in An Giang province with access to computer labs, equipping them with essential digital tools and creating a more supportive learning environment where they can build skills, grow in confidence, and prepare for the digital future.
Set up a computer lab at Tri Ton Primary School (An Giang), benefiting 450 students.
Set up a computer lab at Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary School (An Giang), benefiting 640 students.
Set up computer labs at Luong The Vinh Secondary School, Nguyen Truong Toan Secondary School, and Phan Boi Chau Secondary School (An Giang), benefiting 2,100 students.
This year, UOB Vietnam is further strengthening its commitment to digital education for students in underserved communities through UOB My Digital Space programme designed to equip more than 3,000 students with digital skills, confidence, and the knowledge to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.

Continuing our five-year partnership with Saigon Children’s Charity CIO to provide students in An Giang with access to computer labs and digital literacy workshops.
