UOB Heartbeat Run is an annual volunteerism and fundraising event, an integral part of the UOB Heartbeat Corporate Social Responsibility programme. This programme reflects our long-term commitment to enriching lives, strengthening social bonds, and supporting the social development of the communities in which we operate in.
In Vietnam, our efforts have supported the young, especially the underprivileged children. Since 2023, the UOB Heartbeat programme has aimed to set up five computer labs over five years for students across Mekong Delta region, in partnership with Saigon Children’s Carity CIO.
The initiative has provided computer labs to over 1,000 students in An Giang province, giving them access to essential digital tools and a more supportive learning environment where they can learn skills, gain confidence and be ready for the digital era.
Set up computer labs at Tri Ton Primary School (An Giang) for 450 students
Set up computer lab at Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary School (An Giang) for 640 students
Saigon Children’s Charity CIO was founded in 1992 to help disadvantaged children get an education and a fairer start in life. Saigonchildren works exclusively across the whole of Vietnam to overcome barriers to education for children, including poverty, geography, knowledge, and disability. Their mission is to enable disadvantaged children and young adults in Vietnam to reach their full potential through receiving a quality education that is relevant to their needs.
You can donate directly to our beneficiary, Saigon Children’s Charity CIO (NGO partner), to setup computer labs for 1.492 students at Luong The Vinh and Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School (An Giang province) by scanning the QR code and using the transfer note provided below:
